Pirates starter Steven Brault yielded two runs in five innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Friday. The young left-hander allowed five hits and two walks while striking out two batters in the ballgame. He has 19 strikeouts and 12 walks in 24 innings and has great stuff. The Phillies have struggled against the NL Central going 11-20 in those games.

The Phillies have lost in each of Jake Thompson's last five starts, and five of his seven overall this season have seen nine runs or more scored.
