Some thought Stanford might be able to take a step forward this season in the Pac 12, but the Cardinal haven't impressed out of the gate standing 3-5 overall. Stanford will try to stop the bleeding today as they head back to their home court, but it's been a difficult stretch for the Cardinal against tougher competition with some of their recent losses coming against North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio State. Stanford's other two defeats have been against mid-majors Eastern Washington and Portland State. The first step for the Cardinal to get back on track is proving they can beat a mid-major at home. Because of Stanford's struggles we get them at a bit of a discount today on their home court. Reid Travis is still one of the best players in the Pac 12 leading the Cardinal averaging 21.4 points per game and we like for Travis to have a big game today as the Cardinal go on to win and cover the moderate spread. Look for Stanford to use their size and get a big win here on Wednesday night.
