Boston's Rick Porcello will open the series against the Athletics when the Red Sox return home to Boston on Monday night. The right-hander has opened the season with an impressive 2.79 ERA, thanks in large part to his low home run and walk rates.

The Redsox have won 3 of 4 and have scored 24 runs in the lat 5 games and it is not that far removed from the fact they were no hit by Sean and they will remember that as they face him in the 2nd time through the lineup today. The A's have lost 5 of 6 and have scored 2 runs or less in 6 of 8 of their games including 2 runs yesterday as well. Boston is very good at home and has the better offense built for this field.
