This game is a head-to-head matchup of two of the league's MVP candidates from last year in the Devils' Taylor Hall and the Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon. The Devils have a very nice young team with Keith Kinkaid and Kyle Palmieri. Kinkaid goes for his second straight shutout and a potential third of the season for Jersey as it remains the league's lone unbeaten squad. Colorado has lost its last two games in poor offensive performances that have only scored just two goals in each game. The Avs will need more than that to get past the uptick Devils.
