10* Bowl Game of the Year
(NCAAF) Mississippi vs. Georgia Tech,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -110.00 Mississippi (Away)
Result: Win
For the most part these GT teams have been a middle of the pack team in a terrible conference and they struggle to move the football against teams with speed. That is what the Rebels have on defense and having over a month to prepare for a triple option attack is a great thing. That may explain Tech's weak bowl ledger under Paul Johnson: 1-4 SU/ATS with the lone victory coming last year in the Sun Bowl vs. Disinterested USC team. Ole Miss DC Dave Wommack knows a thing or two about defending the triple-option. He served in the same capacity for two seasons under Johnson at Georgia Tech.
Ole Miss had one of the most daunting SEC schedule grinds of 2013. They have a ton of speed and big tall receivers. Tech's pass defense usually makes any decent QB-WR combo look like Heisman candidates. Ole Miss pounded Pittsburgh last year in their bowl game and I see this as a double digit victory as well here on Monday afternoon.
