5*
(NCAAF) Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh,
Point Spread: 2.00 | -106.00 Virginia Tech (Away)
Result: Loss
Virginia Tech has yet to give up more than 28 points this season and owns the 23rd best scoring defense in the country giving up just 19.8 points on average. Despite being 4-2 SU, the Hokies could easily be 6-0 as both of their losses to East Carolina and Georgia Tech were winnable close games. Instead the Hokies are still trying to prove they are the best in the ACC Coastal.
Pitt broke from the gate at 3-0 with an improved defense and the running of RB Connor. But, their creampuff schedule caught up with them in losses to Iowa, Akron and Virginia. Now, they must face VTech who has tbe better defense and special teams here tonight. VT has been solid lately with victories of 17 and 18 points and I look for the rested VT team to take care of business on Thursday night.
