Sam Houston has a great offense and ranks second in explosive pass rate and 27th in explosive run rate. The offensive line has not been great in pass protection, but UTEP does not have the players on defense to exploit that weakness.
UTEP likes to go fast and is making a change during the bye week to new/old QB McConnell, who almost beat Sam Houston in a wild comeback in which he passed for more than 200 yards.
With a proven great offense in Sam Houston State and one that should improve with UTEP, I would like this to exceed 50.5.
