Indiana State vs Duke
Duke is coming to this game heavily favored at a -37.5 and I have no doubt that Duke will end up winning the game. However, the problem that I see coming into this game here is the fact that Duke is so heavily favorites that I do not think they will cover the spread. A 30 point spread I see Duke covering, but 37.5 is a bit of a stretch for me and definitely not the best that I am making. I mean, look at the offenses here you have Duke with 94.7 points a game and Indiana State hitting 81.3 points a game. Now, I do not see Indiana State hitting their average even in this game as the Duke defense gives up 57 points a game on average, which even if the Sycamores allow Duke to score their average and Duke keeps the Sycamore shut down to 57 that is only 37 points even, with the half point difference. Flyers vs Blues
The Flyers and the Blues are a couple of hockey teams that are barely hanging on above the five hundred Mark or just below the mark on the year. However, they are both teams that have an offense that has not been that strong on the year thus far with the Flyers getting 2.56 goals and the Blues hitting 2.76 goals per game. Well, those two combined hits 5.32 goals per game roughly. However, the defense for the teams is different as the Flyers are giving up only 2.56 goals a game, but the Blues are giving up 3.77 goals a game. Not to mention the Blues penalty kill is only sitting at a 70.5% on the efficiency. Now, with that being said the total in this game is sitting at 5.5 and while it is tempting to look at the over with the weak Blues defense, the total between both teams has only went over 5.5 in 3 times total out of 10 games combined, 2 for the Blues over and 1 for the Flyers. Do I think that they will magically find a formula to make an offensive movement? 76ers vs Pistons
The 76ers are going to have their hands full on the road against the Pistons as the Pistons have only lost 1 home game in 6 tries. The Philadelphia team has won 3 road games out of 5 attempts. However, in this game I am looking at the spread which is set a -5.5 in favor of the Pistons. I know that Detroit does have a lot of offensive potential as can be seen in their recent wins. However, the Pistons are coming in covering what would be a 5.5 spread in 4 out of their last 5 games. However, the competition in those games was not at the same level that the 76ers can bring to the court. Granted, the 76ers have had a shaky run in their last 5 games posting a 2-3 record, the games have been somewhat close and 2 of the losses have come by a combined 5 points. Now, what makes this interesting is the 76ers are getting 120 points a game and the Pistons are hitting 118 points a game. The defenses for both teams is playing good with the 76ers giving up 116 points a game and the Pistons 112 points a game. With the closeness of these teams you can sit at a +5.5 on the 76ers and I believe that is what will hit, but if you want more confidence can always buy a point or two.
