The sports world is looking at a surge of games on Friday with the college basketball schedule picking up slowly. However, we have looked long and hard and have found what we think are the best bets for the sports world for Friday 11/7/25. - Wild vs Islanders - New York Islanders ML (-135)
- Jazz vs Timberwolves - Utah Jazz +12.5 (-115)
- Valparaiso vs Kentucky - Kentucky Wildcats -34.5 (-105)
Islanders vs Wild
This would normally be a good game between a couple of teams that have seen the swing of both sides of the puck from losing to winning. However, in this game here we are going to take the Islanders to win this one on the money line. The Wild are coming into the game playing in back to back games and in the last game the Wild were forced to the point of putting in 3 goals and still losing the game. However, the Islanders have looked steady in their play and are playing at home. At home the Islanders have been very difficult to beat and that trend should continue in this game here as I think the Islanders are going to secure the win in this game on the money line. Jazz vs Timberwolves
Okay, Utah is not that good of a team on the road sitting on a 1-4 mark, but sitting at a -12.5 on the road is one thing that I think is a slap to the Jazz players. The Timberwolves are the favorite at a -12.5, but in their last 5 games the Timberwolves have only covered a 12.5 spread 2 times and both of those games have been wins. The rest of the 5 games have been outright losses that seen the Minnesota defense come up way short. The Jazz for their part have struggled in their last 5 games and have lost 2 games which would have covered the spread, but have also had 2 losses that were well within the 12.5 point margin. The Jazz have even picked up a win as well. Now, what else makes me doubt the Timberwolves will cover the 12.5 spread is the fact that Minnesota only puts in 116.5 points a game, but the Jazz are sitting at 114. Valparaiso vs Kentucky
Valparaiso is coming to this game here fully expecting to lose the game. However, the key question is how much is the loss margin going to be when it comes to the points? Well, the Valparaiso team did get a win to open the season and that seen them put in 66 points, but allowed 63 points, which would look like a great defensive showing. The problem is the defensive showing like that was against a very low caliber Eastern Illinois team. The Kentucky Wildcats are heading here after getting a nice win in their last game and it was against a team that has a little bit more talent than Valparaiso in Nicholls. However, the big difference is the Wildcats offense was consistent in getting the ball moved around the court and scoring the ball. I look for the Wildcats do do much of the same in this game here, but will have a better chance of blowing out an opponent as I see the Valparaiso squad making to many errors.
