The game is taking place in Carolina and that definitely helps the Hurricanes out, but what else helps the Carolina team out is their very potent offense. The Hurricanes are putting in 3.58 goals per game, but the defense has only allowed 2.67 goals per game. The Wild for their part have only managed to get 2.79 goals a game and the defense for the Wild is giving up 3.64 goals per game. The lack of defensive effort from the Wild is going to make it easier for the Hurricanes to score almost at will. Clippers vs Suns
The Clippers and the Suns are a couple of teams that have played decent basketball on the year compared to what they have done before for the start of the season. Both of these teams are coming in with 3 wins each, but the Suns have 5 losses and the Clippers only have 4 losses. The bad news for the Clippers is they are a team that has been streaky on the offensive side of the ball so far this year and the defense has really not come up to the same level that would be expected with some of the offensive efforts that have faltered. The Suns for their part are coming in with an offense that has been consistent on the scoring this year, but even when the offense is shaky the defense has shown up at times and has helped to keep the games close. Louisville vs Jackson State
This is a game that should be a blow out win for the Cardinals. Louisville has an offense that is super productive on the year, but also a defense that has ended up keeping the opponents in check. The Tigers are a team that has struggled on the season so far and those struggles will not change in this game here as the Tigers are simply outmatched. Look for the Louisville team to be able to get the win here in a blowout as the Tigers are unable to stop the Cardinals who put in 104 points in the first game and the Tigers allowed 113 points in the loss against Illinois. Throw in the fact that the Louisville defense has allowed only 45 points and that makes it even harder to see Jackson State getting their offense going in the game.
