My Best Bets for 11/5/25
- Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets - Miami Heat +9.5 (-110)
- Columbus Blue Jackets vs Calgary Flames - Columbus Blue Jackets moneyline (-115)
- Southern Indiana vs Butler - Butler -21.5 (-110)
Nuggets vs Heat
The Heat are taking to the road in this game here and on the year Miami has struggled on the road with a 2-3 record, but overall the Heat are only sitting at 4-3. The Nuggets are unbeaten at home and are 4-2 on the year, but 3-0 at home. Now, the good news is the Heat are only 9.5 point underdogs in this game and frankly if it was more along the lines of a -6.5 for the Denver team then I would take the Nuggets, but I think the 9.5 point mark is too high. The Heat have only lost a game by 10 points once in the last 5 games and that was against the Lakers team on the road. Now, the Nuggets have won games by that point margin, but in most of those games the opponents were not scoring at the same level as the Heat are on the year and that is why I am taking the Heat to cover the 9.5 point spread, even if the Heat do lose on the moneyline. Blue Jackets vs Flames
The Flames are having an off season this year and it shows in the early record of 3-9-2. The Blue Jackets are actually looking somewhat impressive on the year, for Columbus, sitting at a record of 7-5-0. The Blue Jackets are coming off of a loss in their last game against the Islanders versus the Flames who are coming off of a very low scoring win over the Flyers. Heading to this game here, though, I really like the Blue Jackets chances based off of their better performing offense with 3.25 goals per game versus the 2.14 from the Flames. The Blue Jackets also have the better defense as well giving up only 3 goals a game versus the 3.36 from the Flames. Southern Indiana vs Butler
This is a game that Southern Indiana is going to be outmatched in almost all sectors of the court. The Screaming Eagles are only bringing back a high scorer who managed to get 5.6 points per game last season and that is not much for a division 1 team. However, the Butler team is looking to have some decent return as they are at least bringing back a scorer who hit double digits last year. With that being the case, I actually look for the returning scorer for the Bulldogs to help spearhead what will be a weakened offense, but it is one that should do enough to cover the spread, but with the lack of offensive effort from the Southern Indiana team and the lack of consistent play a team that does not have a lot of returners will have the Bulldogs will have an easy time winning and covering.
