Best Bets for Today - Top Plays Across NFL, NHL and NBA for Monday December 1 2025
The sports world kicks off December with a full slate on Monday night, giving us NBA action from Indianapolis, Monday Night Football in the cold at Foxborough, and a late-night NHL clash from San Jose. With plenty on the board, these are the three games that stand out the most and make up my best bets for Monday 12/1/25. - Cavaliers vs Pacers - Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5 (-110)
- Giants vs Patriots - New England Patriots -7 (-105)
- Mammoth vs Sharks - Utah Mammoth ML (-155)
Cavaliers vs Pacers
Cleveland may be on a three-game skid, but this matchup lines up perfectly for them to get back on track. The Cavaliers have dropped several close games, including a two-point battle with Boston, and still feature the best player on the floor in Donovan Mitchell, who continues to put up elite scoring totals. Indiana, meanwhile, sits at just 4-16 and has one of the worst defenses in the league with nearly 119 points allowed per game. The Pacers are dealing with multiple injuries in the backcourt and just lost to Cleveland 120–109 in their most recent meeting. Even with Cleveland’s own lineup missing pieces, the talent gap and offensive punch heavily favor the Cavs, so I’m backing Cleveland -5.5 to pull away late. Giants vs Patriots
This line looks big until you look deeper. New England comes into this one at 10–2, winners of nine straight, and hasn’t lost in two months. Drake Maye has been commanding the offense with over 3,100 yards and 21 touchdowns, while the Patriots’ defense has been one of the most consistent units in football. The Giants, on the other hand, have lost six straight and have struggled to finish drives all season long. Jaxson Dart returning gives New York a small boost, but the Giants have been terrible on the road and now head into freezing Foxborough conditions for a prime-time matchup. Mammoth vs Sharks
For the late-night matchup, Utah comes in as the more stable and complete team. The Mammoth sit even at 2.96 goals for and against per game, but they generate more shots and control more of the play than San Jose. Utah leans on Logan Cooley and Clayton Keller for scoring, while San Jose relies heavily on Macklin Celebrini to carry their offense. The Sharks’ results have been all over the place lately, with blowout losses sprinkled around a couple of home wins. Utah’s attacking consistency, better possession numbers, and steadier defensive structure give them the edge here, even on the road.
