Sunday’s schedule lines up nicely with a little bit of everything: a marquee hockey game at Madison Square Garden, Jokic and the Nuggets rolling into Charlotte, and a cold-weather AFC showdown in Buffalo. After going through the numbers and recent form, these are the three plays that jump off the board for Sunday 12/7/25. To catch even more of our best bets make sure you check out our best bets page.
My Best Bets
- Vegas Golden Knights -170
- Denver Nuggets -10.5
- Buffalo Bills -6
Golden Knights vs Rangers
Vegas comes into MSG in great form and with a profile that just looks a little cleaner than New York’s right now. The Golden Knights are 13-6-8 overall and an excellent 6-2-4 on the road, with Akira Schmid anchoring things at a 2.35 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Offensively, Jack Eichel is driving the bus with 34 points and plenty of help from Tomas Hertl and the rest of a deep top six. The Rangers can absolutely compete in net with Igor Shesterkin, but New York’s attack has been much more modest at 2.69 goals per game and they’ve struggled badly at home with a 3-8-2 record in their own building. With Vegas generating nearly 30 shots a night, owning the special-teams edge, and riding a three-game winning streak, I’m backing Golden Knights -170 on the moneyline to stay hot on the road. Nuggets vs Hornets
This is one of those games where the line is big for a reason. Denver is 16-6 and a dominant 10-2 on the road, coming in off back-to-back wins where they scored 134 and 135 points. Nikola Jokic is in full MVP mode again, averaging 29.2 points on over 60% shooting while also controlling the glass and the playmaking. The Nuggets are putting up 125.5 points per game as a team, which will pressure any defense—let alone a Charlotte squad that gives up 118.4 a night and has struggled with injuries across the rotation. The Hornets have picked up a couple of wins recently, but they’ve mostly come against weaker or banged-up opponents, and Denver’s offensive ceiling is on a completely different level. Even laying double digits, I trust the Nuggets’ talent, depth, and form to create separation. I’m taking Denver -10.5 to win this one comfortably. Check out the full Nuggets vs Hornets pick.
Bengals vs Bills
Buffalo at home in December is always a tough ask, and that’s exactly what Cincinnati is walking into. The Bengals did get a big confidence boost with that road win over Baltimore, but overall they’re still just 4-8 and have lost four of their last five. Joe Flacco has actually played solidly with 13 touchdowns to 4 interceptions, but the Bengals’ run game has been limited and the defense has leaked points in multiple shootouts. Buffalo, on the other hand, is 8-4 and 5-1 at home, with Josh Allen already at 2,832 yards and 19 touchdowns and James Cook III over 1,200 rushing yards and eight scores. The Bills have been a little up and down, but they’ve shown they can explode for big numbers (44 vs Tampa, 28 vs Kansas City) and their defense at home is usually a different animal, especially in 32-degree Orchard Park conditions. With the better quarterback, better balance, and home-field edge, I’m backing Buffalo -6 to take control and cover. Check out the full Bengals vs Bills pick.
