The sports world really hits a slow down on Wednesday with only 1 NHL, a pair of college football games, but about 10 NBA games. Those games are going to provide plenty of action, though, and make it easier for us to find the best bets for Wednesday 10/29/25. Maple Leafs vs Blue Jackets - Columbus Blue Jackets money line (-105)
Houston Rockets vs Toronto Raptors - Over 231.5 (-110)
Florida International Panthers vs Missouri State Bears - Missouri State Bears -3.5 (-115)

Blue Jackets vs Maple Leafs

Both of these teams are coming into the game here with a game played on Tuesday, but the big difference is the fact that the Blue Jackets had to go to overtime before they secured their win. Now, in this game, though, we are going to back the Blue Jackets as both of their goalies are giving up less than 3 goals per game compared to the Maple Leafs whose goalies are giving up over 3.30 goals per game. The Maple Leafs overall have struggled defensively as well giving up 3.67 goals per game, but the Blue Jackets are giving up only 3.13 goals per game. The offensive production is tipped towards the Maple Leafs at 3.44 goals per game and the Blue Jackets sitting at 3 goals per game. Still, the home ice advantage and the fact that the Blue Jackets seem to have the better defensive combination make it easier for us to see the Blue Jackets securing the win. Rockets vs Raptors

The Rockets and the Raptors are set to tangle it up in Toronto. However, the Rockets are coming in as a -5.5 favorite and I do not like that. I think the Raptors are going to be able to cover the spread and potentially get the win outright. That comes from the fact that the Rockets defense has been shaky in quite a few games this year giving up 125, 115, and 109 points in their losses. The Raptors for their part have not really been playing great defensively either but have given up huge numbers as well. Still, while I do like the Raptors I did find a more lucrative bet and that is on the over. The over is only set at 231.5 and that is low I think for a couple of offenses that are putting in a combined 245.5 average which is 14 points over the margin. Now, if the teams even get remotely close to their averages it is very easy to see the total hitting the over. Florida International vs Missouri State

Missouri State is playing host in this game against Florida International and that will help the Bears out in the game with the home field advantage. However, what else is going to help the Bears out is the fact that the Bears have a quarterback that has led the team all year in Clark with 1,478 yards with 11 scores, but 8 picks. The Panthers do have a decent quarterback in Jenkins with 1,255 yards and 4 touchdowns, but also 4 picks. Now, one big difference is the FIU running attack has a great runner in Owens with 824 yards and 7 scores versus the Bears who have Lawrence who has picked up only 2 touchdowns and 446 yards. Still, the defense for FIU is a lot worse off than the Bears giving up 422 yards per game versus the 379 allowed by Missouri State. All of those factors combined, even though, FIU has the better offense, I think that the Bears are going to get the win here and cover the spread.
