Flames vs Canadiens
The Flames are a team that has a very weak offense on the season so far. The Flames are only getting 1.57 goals per game and are facing a Canadiens team that is giving up only 2.86 goals per game. Now, the total for the Flames is set at 2.5 goals and we have to say that even with the Canadiens defense giving up almost 3 goals per game, the total seems too high. The Canadiens in their last 5 games have allowed more than 2 goals only twice, one of which was the loss to the Rangers. The other games, including the overtime win have seen the Canadiens give up only 2 goals each. Middle Tennessee vs Delaware
This game has a total set at 55.5 points per game. How, the odds makers reached that figure really is something that has me puzzled. The Blue Hens are only getting 28.8 points per game and the Blue Raiders are putting in 17 points per game. Those two combinations have ended up getting only 45 points per game. Now, the Blue Raiders do have some defensive lapses on the year, but we do not see those being enough to really get the total to the 55.5 points per game. That definitely comes with the fact that the Blue Hens offense has only hit the higher numbers against teams that are not that strong overall and against a team like Western Kentucky, who is not known for a strong defensive unit the Blue Hens only put in 24 points. Clippers vs Jazz
The Clippers and Jazz definitely provide an interesting matchup. The Clippers are coming in off of a very powerful preseason that seen them playing really well in their last 5 games. That included a 106-103 win over the Warriors in the last game. However, against the potent Denver Nuggets team the Clippers looked outmatched. Still, the Clippers are coming in with an offense and a defense that with the exception of the Nuggets game has been very consistent in how they have played. The Jazz for their part have been consistent, but not in the way that a team wants to be seen. The defense for the Jazz seems to have been completely missing, with the closest game being a 114 points given up by the Jazz against the Mavericks. Even in the win the Jazz had earlier this preseason in their last game the Jazz allowed 129 points. With the lack of offense and defensive combination actually working right for the Jazz it is highly unlikely they will compete in this game here.
