The sports day is not as busy as normal for a Thursday, but the sports world does have plenty of great games. Those games are going to help us in finding the best bets for the bettors who are looking to find some winners and here you have my best bets for Thursday October 23, 2025.

My Best Bets

New York Rangers -1.5 goals (-115)
Chargers -2.5 (Even) (buy a point from the line)
Nuggets/Warriors Over 233.5 (-105)

Sharks vs Rangers

The Sharks and the Rangers are going to have a chance to showcase just how weak the Sharks really are on the year. The Sharks have not really been able to play that great on the year and have another continued rebuilding season here. Those problems are going to continue to be an issue for the Sharks as the Sharks are downright horrible on the road and are facing a really impressive Rangers defensive front here giving up only 1.88 goals per game. The offense for the Rangers is only getting 2 goals per game, but the big difference here is the Sharks are completely lacking on the defensive side of the puck giving up 4.83 goals per game. Vikings vs Chargers

The Chargers and the Vikings are going to play in Inglewood in a great matchup for Thursday night football. The game is one that sees the Chargers are -3.5 favorites on even money. Now, I personally think the line should be dropped to -2.5 so you may want to consider buying a point and taking a better point as the -3.5 could be a field goal determination and was actually what the opening line was set at. Now, the reason I am saying buy the point to make it a -2.5 is the Chargers are missing Hampton the leading rusher who is on injured reserve and that has placed a lot of pressure on Herbert to get the ball moving and he has, but the lack of running attack means the Vikings could get the ball late. Now, the downside is Wentz has shown his older form of finding the wrong uniform on a consistent basis with 4 picks on the year and that could definitely hurt the Vikings chances, but still buy a point and lay this one for the Chargers at -2.5. Nuggets vs Warriors

The Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors are a pair of teams that have a lot of offensive potential on the year. However, the total in the game playing against each other is only set at 233.5 which I think is something these teams can easily hit. Granted, it is really early in the season so neither one of these teams will be really settled in offensively, but both of these teams have some prolific shooters on the court. Those factors along with the fact that I do not think the defenses for these teams will be seated properly and mistakes will happen leads me to believe this game will hit the over.
