I’m backing UConn without hesitation in this matchup. East Texas A&M has played well during their current win streak, but the jump in competition here is enormous. UConn is bigger, deeper, more physical, and significantly more disciplined on the defensive end.
East Texas A&M’s offense thrives on pace and quick looks early in possessions — but against UConn’s length, those windows close fast. The Huskies should control the boards, limit second-chance opportunities, and steadily build separation throughout the game.
Offensively, UConn’s ball movement and balanced scoring will be extremely difficult for the Lions to handle. Once the Huskies begin winning the interior battle and forcing turnovers, this one could get away from East Texas A&M quickly.
