Cincinnati’s offense was sharp in its opener, led by Baba Miller’s 18 points on 77.8% shooting. The Bearcats showed balance, posting 20 assists and getting contributions from starters and reserves. The ability to push the pace and convert effectively at home remains a key factor. On defense, they forced turnovers and turned them into transition points, which fits Wes Miller’s aggressive system. With 11 steals in the opener, the Bearcats’ energy should continue to frustrate a Georgia State team that struggled to find offensive rhythm in its debut.

The key for Georgia State will be improving its shot selection and maintaining composure against Cincinnati’s pressure defense. If the Panthers can get early scoring from Hamilton and find some consistency from the perimeter, they could at least make the contest more competitive.

Cincinnati’s advantage is big. The Bearcats scored 94 points in the opener and held their opponent to just 63, a 31-point differential that demonstrates control at both ends. The frontcourt’s rim protection and ball movement give them multiple ways to exploit Georgia State’s shortcomings. The Panthers will need near-perfect execution to stay within striking distance, but following a poor opening night loss, that will be hard to accomplish.
