Both teams enter at 1-0, though Cal’s 87-60 rout of CSU Bakersfield showed a sharper, more balanced performance against a stronger opponent. Wright State Preview
Wright State rolled through Franklin 86-37 in its opener, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and dominating on the boards with 52 rebounds. The Raiders spread the scoring around but were led by Michael Imariagbe, who scored 13 points while hitting over 70 percent of his shots. Wright State forced 19 turnovers in the win. Wright State struggled on the road last season, going just 3-12 on the road, and had difficulty against major-conference opponents.
California Preview
California had an equally confident start, powered by John Camden’s 22 points on 63.6 percent shooting. The Golden Bears hit 54.2 percent as a team and dished out 20 assists, keeping the offense moving with strong perimeter spacing and patient shot selection. Cal’s frontcourt looked more assertive than it did last year, controlling the glass and limiting Bakersfield to 37 rebounds. Cal averaged 75.6 points per game last season and looks like it will once again be strong offensively. If Camden and the wings continue to score effectively and the Bears maintain tempo, Cal’s balanced scoring will overwhelm the Raiders.

Wright State vs California Prediction
The matchup favors California’s physical playing style and home court advantage. Wright State’s quick start was promising, but a step up in competition often exposes issues not seen against lesser-talented opponents.
