The Akron Zips got blown out in their last game 68-0 against Nebraska. The Zips have yet to score a point this season as they also were shutout in their season opener 10-0 against Wyoming. Akron allowed at least two touchdowns in three quarters in last week's loss. Akron has only 62 passing yards last week. QB Ben Finley is 23/59 through the air in two games. Finley has thrown no touchdowns, one interceptions, and has been sacked three times. The Zips didn't have a receiver with no than two catches against Nebraska. Akron had 13 first downs last week while allowing 31 first downs.
UAB Blazers Preview
The UAB Blazers took their first loss last week against Navy 38-24. UAB and Navy were tied going into the half, but the Blazers were shutout in both the 3rd and 4th quarter. QB Jalen Kitna threw for 304 yards last week with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Kitna has four passing touchdowns on the season. RB Jevon Jackson has been a work horse for UAB on the ground. Jackson has at least 15 carries in both games. WR Corri Milliner has been the standout receiver for UAB. Milliner has caught a touchdown in both games and has 11 catches for 198 yards on the season.
