Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt completed 18 of 35 passes for 270 yards and a three-yard touchdown pass to TE Cameron Harpole. Malik McClain caught seven passes for a season-high 159 yards in a losing effort for the Sun Devils, who committed 12 penalties for 76 yards.

Iowa State Preview

The Iowa State Cyclones started the season on a five-game winning streak, but are sitting at 2-3 in conference play. The Cyclones (5-3) rank eighth in the conference in total offense and are scoring 29.0 points per contest. Last week, Iowa State was unable to protect a 14-point lead during a 41-27 home loss versus 11th-ranked BYU.

Iowa State QB Rocco Becht was picked off three times, including one that returned for a score. Becht’s only touchdown pass was a 75-yard strike to Brett Eskildsen on the first offensive play from scrimmage. Carson Hansen rushed for 152 yards and two scores for the Cyclones.
