Memphis Preview

The Memphis Tigers have a major NIL backing from FedEx and are expected to contend for a playoff spot this season. The Tigers (3-0) rank second in the American Conference in total defense and are allowing an impressive 11 points per contest. Last week, Memphis limited Troy to 112 yards of total offense during a 28-7 road triumph.

RB Sutton Smith led the Memphis offense with 18 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Senior QB Brendon Lewis contributed 213 passing yards and a 18-yard touchdown pass to Brady Kluse. Cortez Branham Jr. added 69 receiving yards for the Tigers, who racked up 217 yards on the ground.
