The 24th-ranked Utes (6-2) rank second in the conference in total offense and are scoring a shade below 39 points per contest. Last week, Utah erupted for 43 points during the first half of a 53-7 home victory versus Colorado.

Freshman QB Byrd Ficklin made his first career start for Utah and rushed for a game-high 151 yards on 20 carries. Ficklin threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score. LB Jonathan Hall registered two sacks for the Utes, who outgained the Buffaloes by an astonishing 587-140 margin.
