Colorado Preview

Colorado has a dynamic quarterback in Kaidon Salter, who has 261 passing yards with one touchdown pass. Simeon Price leads the ground game with 85 rushing yards, and Sincere Brown has the team lead through the air with 120 receiving yards and a touchdown. Colorado has shown much less firepower on offense this season after losing several skill position players to the NFL and the transfer portal.

Colorado's defense is led by linebacker Reginald Hughes with 14 tackles, and safety Carter Stoutmire is second with 12. Colorado has made three quarterback sacks, and the Buffaloes have made two interceptions. Colorado's defense will be key if the Buffaloes hope to contend for a conference title, as the offense is not quite as strong as it was last season

Houston Preview

Houston’s offense is led by quarterbackConner Weigman, who has 347 passing yards with four touchdowns. Dean Connors gives them a steady running game with 182 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and tight end Tanner Koziol leads the passing game with 115 yards and a touchdown. The Cougars are balanced on attack and can beat opponents on the ground or through the air, which will be necessary against a tough Colorado defense.

Houston's defense is led by linebacker Jalen Garner and defensive back Latrell McCutchin Sr with 13 tackles apiece. Wrook Brown and Kentrell Webb each have 11 tackles. Houston has made five quarterback sacks through the first two games of the regular season and the Cougars have intercepted three passes.
