Eastern Washington vs Boise State Picks and Prediction for Friday September 5 2025

The final game of the Friday college football schedule will feature a battle between the Eastern Washington Eagles and the Boise State Broncos. On Saturday, Eastern Washington surrendered 481 yards of total offense during a 31-21 road loss against Incarnate Word.

Eastern Washington RB Marceese Yetts hit paydirt from 26 and 24 yards in the second quarter. Yetts finished with a team-high 59 rushing yards and 63 receiving yards. QB Jared Taylor (183 pass yds) added a two-yard rushing touchdown for the Eagles, who turned the ball over twice on the day.

Boise State Preview

The Boise State Broncos are coming off a College Football Playoff appearance and were ranked 25th in the preseason AP poll. The Broncos (0-1) should see a drop off as they attempt to replace RB Ashton Jeanty, who rushed for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns. On Thursday, Boise State committed three turnovers and failed to score during the final three quarters of a 34-7 road loss against South Florida.

Boise State jumped on the scoreboard first with a Maddux Madsen six-yard touchdown strike to Chris Marshall. Madsen completed 25 of 46 passes and finished with 225 passing yards. The Broncos were limited to 122 rushing yards on 38 carries.

Eastern Washington has been one of the better FCS teams over the last decade, but this year’s version is not up to par.
