A battle of in-state foes will take place on Saturday night, when the Georgia State Panthers invade Fifth Third Stadium to take on the Kennesaw State Owls. Make sure you are ready for all the football action with our college football picks. The Panthers (1-0) failed to defeat an FBS team a season ago and surrendered close to 38 points per game. On Friday, Georgia State scored 35 points in the first half and cruised to a 59-10 home victory versus FCS North Carolina A&T.

Six Georgia State players scored rushing touchdowns and the team rushed for 284 yards on 38 carries. Senior QB Cameran Brown did a good job directing the offense with 190 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dennis Murray Jr. contributed a team-high 50 receiving yards and a score for the Panthers.

Kennesaw State Preview

After winning just two games in 2024, first year head coach Jerry Mack led the Kennesaw State Owls to ten victories and a Conference USA Championship. The Owls (1-0) lost nine offensive starters from that team and replaced them with lower level players. On Thursday, Kennesaw State put 40 points on the scoreboard in the first half and coasted to a 47-0 home victory versus FCS West Georgia.

Syracuse transfer QB Rickie Collins completed 18 of 23 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown. Latrelle Murray shined in the Kennesaw State rushing group with a game-high 88 yards and two scores. Triston Morgan added a 60-yard touchdown run for the Owls, who rushed for nearly 300 yards against the overmatched Wolves.
