Georgia Tech Preview

Georgia Tech has found success behind quarterback Haynes King, who’s passed for 758 yards with three touchdowns and added a strong 380 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground. King’s ability to extend plays has carried the Jackets through multiple close calls, including a 35-20 win over Virginia Tech and a 30-29 overtime thriller at Wake Forest. Isiah Canion has been a reliable target with 237 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while the backfield continues to find balance in red-zone situations. Linebacker Kyle Efford leads the way on defense with 28 tackles, and lineman Akelo Stone has anchored the pass rush. Georgia Tech’s mix of speed and toughness has been the difference late in games, helping them remain one of the few unbeaten teams in the ACC.

Duke Preview

Duke counters with an offense that’s been among the most explosive in the conference. Quarterback Darian Mensah has thrown for 1,838 yards and an impressive 15 touchdowns to only two interceptions. Running back Nate Sheppard adds a strong rushing presence with 447 yards and four touchdowns, while wideout Cooper Barkate has become a big-play threat, leading the team with 475 receiving yards and four scores. Duke’s balance has powered wins over Cal, Syracuse, and NC State by comfortable margins. Edge rusher Vincent Anthony Jr. has dominated with 6.5 sacks, and safety DaShawn Stone leads the team with 41 tackles, setting the tone for a defense that’s allowed just 7.6 points per game over its last three contests.

Duke vs Georgia Tech Pick

Duke’s ability to pressure King and contain his scrambling lanes will decide the outcome. Georgia Tech’s offense has thrived against slower defenses, but Duke’s front seven is fast enough to disrupt the Jackets’. Still, Georgia Tech has been relentless in tight situations, and its ability to finish drives could keep this one close well into the fourth quarter.

Prediction: Duke 31, Georgia Tech 27
