In Friday night college football action, the Howard Bison will visit SHI Stadium to face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights were gutted in the transfer portal and are being left behind in the highly competitive Big Ten Conference. The Scarlet Knights (0-3) rank near the bottom of the conference in total defense and are surrendering 35.7 points per contest. On Saturday, Rutgers committed a pair of costly turnovers during a 42-35 home loss versus 12th ranked USC.

Rutgers trailed 20-14 early in the third quarter and was driving to take the lead when Dylan Lonergan threw an interception that was returned 99 yards for a score. Lonergan finished with 252 yards through the air and three touchdowns. Antwan Raymond added 122 rushing yards and a score for the Scarlet Knights.
