Auburn looks to climb back above .500 as the Tigers host a struggling Kentucky squad on Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Tigers sit at 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the SEC, while the Wildcats enter 2-5 with a 0-5 mark in conference play. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM ET on SEC Network, with mild 55-degree weather expected in Auburn. Don’t guess on Saturday—grab the smartest plays with our free college football predictions.

Kentucky Preview

Kentucky has lost five straight and continues to search for consistency behind quarterback Cutter Boley. The freshman has thrown for 1,215 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 66 percent of his passes. His connection with wideout Kendrick Law has been a bright spot, as Law leads the team with 302 yards and two scores. On the ground, Seth McGowan has totaled 476 yards and seven touchdowns but hasn’t had much help from an offensive line that’s struggled to protect Boley or sustain drives. The Wildcats’ recent losses to Tennessee and Texas highlighted those issues, as they managed just 13 points in regulation against the Longhorns and surrendered 56 to the Volunteers. Kentucky’s tackling and coverage breakdowns have led to big plays that flipped momentum early, something that has repeatedly derailed the Wildcats’ game plans.

Auburn Preview

Auburn, meanwhile, enters with some confidence after a 33-24 road win over Arkansas. Quarterback Jackson Arnold has thrown for 1,263 yards, completing 63 percent of his attempts with six touchdowns and just two interceptions. The Tigers have relied on running back Jeremiah Cobb, who has 717 yards and four scores on 117 carries, giving the offense much-needed balance. Freshman receiver Cam Coleman has emerged as Arnold’s go-to option, catching 32 passes for 440 yards. Auburn’s home-field advantage and improved play in the trenches have steadied a team that had dropped four of five before last weekend’s win. Linebacker Xavier Atkins anchors the front seven with 61 tackles and seven sacks, giving the Tigers a real edge against Kentucky’s offensive line. Auburn’s ability to pressure the pocket and force mistakes should dictate the game’s tempo.

Auburn vs Kentucky Prediction

The Wildcats have shown toughness throughout the season, but continue to fade late in games due to turnovers and poor third-down execution. Auburn has been far more efficient at home, and its defense should keep Boley uncomfortable throughout. Expect the Tigers to build on a recent win and keep the momentum rolling when at home.
