Akron took a 14-10 halftime lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Ben Finley to Jordan Gant. Finley finished with 252 passing yards and three scores. Jordan Gant contributed a game-high 176 rushing yards on 32 carries. Freshman WR Kyan Mason added 125 receiving yards and a touchdown for the Zips.
