Northern Illinois RB Chavon Wright sealed the victory with a two-yard touchdown run and finished with a game-high 77 rushing yards. DeAree Rogers contributed 73 receiving yards for the Huskies, who limited the Crusaders to 218 total yards.

Maryland Preview

The Maryland Terrapins are looking to rebound after winning just one Big Ten Conference game and having a three-year bowl streak snapped. The Terrapins (1-0) ranked third in the conference in passing offense, but managed just 23.7 points per game a season ago. On Saturday, Maryland’s defense forced six turnovers during a 39-7 home victory versus Florida Atlantic.

Maryland freshman QB Malik Washington (258 pass yds) threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter to give his team a 33-7 halftime advantage. Shaleak Knotts caught five passes for a team-high 59 yards and a touchdown. DeJuan Williams added 54 rushing yards for the Terrapins, who were mostly inefficient on the ground (3.7 ypc).
