The Ohio Bobcats are heading to Scheumann Stadium in Week 6 of the 2025 college football season, where they will face the Ball State Cardinals. Win or lose comes down to preparation—see today’s college football predictions from the experts. The Ohio Bobcats sit at 2–2 overall and 0–0 in MAC play. Ohio comes into this matchup riding a 52–35 victory over Gardner-Webb in Week 4, where they put up 52 points in a high-scoring matchup. In that game, running back Sieh Bangura ran for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns, and the Bobcats also got strong contributions from Duncan Brune in the backfield.  Ohio’s quarterback Parker Navarro also made an impact, including a 34-yard rushing touchdown to help seal the win.

Ball State Preview

The Ball State Cardinals currently sit at 1–3 overall and 0–0 in MAC play. In their most recent game, Ball State lost 31–25 at UConn, a close meeting in which the Cardinals pushed hard but ultimately came up short. Earlier in the season, they were shut out 31–0 by Purdue in their opener. In the UConn game, Ball State’s offense was led by Qua Ashley, who continues to be their workhorse in the backfield and has shown bursts of great offensive potential.   Quarterback Kiael Kelly remains solid for the Cardinals, coming off a performance where he threw for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Ohio vs Ball State Prediction

The Ohio Bobcats are looking to build some momentum after a big win over Gardner-Webb, while Ball State hopes to bounce back. Expect Ohio to come out and take care of business on Saturday, covering the -16.5 spread while doing so. Final score prediction, Bobcats win 36-13.
