Isaiah Satenga returned a punt 88 yards for a touchdown to give Oklahoma a 14-0 advantage. John Mateer completed 11 of 17 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Junior RB Lloyd Avant provided balance on the ground with 79 yards and a score for the Sooners.

Michigan Preview

Over the last few years, the Michigan football program has been surrounded by controversy and they hired Utah HC Kyle Whittingham to restore order. Whittingham inherits a squad that won nine games in 2025 and has the talent to crash the College Football Playoff party. On Saturday, Michigan survived an epic scare with a 13-12 home victory versus Western Michigan.

Michigan appeared to lose the game when a hail mary attempt sailed out of the end zone as the clock hit zero. The referees reviewed the play and determined that one second remained. QB Bryce Underwood took full advantage by connecting with J.J. Buchanan on a 47-yard touchdown pass to give the Wolverines the win. The Wolverines committed nine penalties for 80 yards and possessed the ball for less than 20 minutes.
