Temple’s start has been explosive with Evan Simon lighting it up (27/35, 422 yards, 9 TD). TE Peter Clarke (6 for 119, 2 TD) is the leading receiver, and RB Jay Ducker (29 carries, 215 yards, one TD), leads the ground game. Temple has scored three touchdowns on the ground, and the Owls have scored 10 touchdowns through the air.
The Owls have also played tough on defense. Linebacker Eric Stuart is the leading tackler with nine, while two others have eight tackles each. Temple has made four quarterback sacks, and the Owls have intercepted two passes.
