Oregon Preview
The Ducks’ offense is performing well. Dante Moore has completed 34-of-44 passing for 479 yards and six touchdowns with zero picks. Malik Benson has been Moore’s top target with 99 yards and two touchdowns. The ground game has been explosive early with Noah Whittington (159 yards, 2 TD) leading the way. The offensive line has not allowed a sack, and the running attack has scored 10 touchdowns.
Oregon’s front seven is led by Matayo Uiagalelei (2.0 sacks) and a pack of linebackers and DBs who step up against the run. Linebacker Bryce Boettcher is the leading tackler with 12. The defense has made five quarterback sacks and intercepted two passes.
Northwestern Preview
Northwestern needs QB Preston Stone to perform well against a tough Oregon defense. Stone has thrown for 406 yards with three touchdowns, but has four interceptions and has been sacked four times. Cam Porter has 137 rushing yards with one touchdown, and Griffin Wilde has 11 catches for 158 yards.
On defense, the Wildcats’ tackling leaders are DB Robert Fitzgerald (17) and LB Mac Uihlein with 13. The Wildcats have made three quarterback sacks and intercepted one pass. Northwestern's defense must step up against a tough Oregon offense; otherwise, the Wildcats will fall behind early and will not be able to make up the deficit against Oregon's tough defense.
Northwestern vs Oregon Pick
Oregon’s offense will overcome the Northwestern defense on enough occasions to move the ball, score, take time off the clock, and keep the Northwestern offense off the field. Final Score Prediction: Oregon Ducks win and cover ATS 41-13.
