Oregon vs Ohio State Picks and Prediction for Saturday November 7 2026
Ohio State just lost 30-18 at USC. Oregon beat Northwestern 34-26.
And now the Buckeyes are laying more than a touchdown against the Ducks?
I know Ohio State is at home. I know the Buckeyes are ranked second. But I’m not giving away ten points against Oregon just because Ohio State is supposed to be one of the best teams in the country.
The Ducks visit Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, November 7, with kickoff at 3:30 PM ET. Ohio State is favored by 8.5 points at FanDuel, while other books are offering Oregon as many as 10.5 points. The total is around 45. I’ll use Oregon +10.5 and Under 45.5. Outdoor weather, including wind and precipitation, needs a final game-time check. Make sure you are fully prepared for all the college football games this week with our free college football picks.

Oregon Ducks Have a Chance to Make a Statement
Oregon is coming off a 34-26 win over Northwestern. The Ducks weren’t perfect, but they made enough plays to win against a ranked opponent. That’s a better result than Ohio State managed last week, and I think it’s worth remembering when people start talking about the Buckeyes as though they’re unbeatable.
Oregon’s offense put up 34 against Northwestern, and that’s encouraging heading into a game where scoring opportunities could be limited. The defense allowed 26, though, and that’s a concern against Ohio State. Oregon can’t give the Buckeyes short fields or allow explosive plays over the top. The Ducks need to make Ohio State sustain drives.
The key for Oregon is getting productive quarterback play without taking unnecessary risks. Its season-long passing, rushing and receiving leader totals still need a reliable final check, as does the injury report. What we know from the Northwestern result is that Oregon can score against a quality opponent. The question is whether it can protect the ball well enough in Columbus.
Ohio State Buckeyes Have to Respond to a Loss
Ohio State entered last weekend ranked No. 2, then lost 30-18 at USC. That’s a difficult result for a team with national championship expectations. The Buckeyes now return home, and I’d expect a much more focused performance. But expecting a bounce-back isn’t the same as expecting a double-digit win.
The offense managed only 18 points against USC. That’s the number that jumps out. Ohio State has enough talent to be dangerous, but it didn’t finish enough drives against the Trojans. The defense also gave up 30, which is more than the Buckeyes want to allow in a game like this. Oregon has the ability to make them pay if those problems continue.
Ohio State’s most important player availability and season leader statistics need confirmation before publication. I’m not going to attach made-up passing totals or injury designations to a ranked matchup. The biggest practical question is whether Ohio State can get its offense back on schedule against a Ducks team that just scored 34 against Northwestern.
Oregon vs Ohio State Picks and Prediction
Oregon +10.5
I’m taking Oregon plus 10.5. Ohio State could come out angry after losing at USC and win this game. That’s the obvious danger. But the Buckeyes just scored 18 points, and now they’re being asked to win by more than ten against a good Oregon team. I don’t like that setup. The Ducks have enough offense to stay close, and I think the spread gives us room even if Ohio State gets the win. I’d rather have Oregon at +10.5 than chase a smaller number.
Under 45.5 Points
I’ll take Under 45.5. Ohio State just struggled to score against USC, and I expect the Buckeyes to put more emphasis on avoiding mistakes. Oregon doesn’t need to turn this into a track meet either. The risk is a couple of explosive plays changing everything. Both teams have the talent to score quickly. But I think the stakes lead to a more controlled game. Something like Ohio State 24-20 sounds right.
Final Picks: Oregon +10.5 and Under 45.5 Points
