On Saturday, Rice was shredded for 290 passing yards during a 27-21 home loss versus Florida Atlantic.

Quinton Jackson put Rice on the scoreboard first with a 68-yard touchdown run and finished with a game-high 128 rushing yards. Chase Jenkins completed 12 of 17 passes for 137 yards and a 46-yard touchdown to Drayden Dickmann. The Owls rushed for 213 yards and converted 10 of 16 third down attempts.

UTSA Preview

The UTSA Roadrunners have appeared in five straight bowl games and have won 46 games during that stretch. The Roadrunners (2-3) need to improve a defense that ranks fourth worst in the American Conference and is allowing 29.6 points per contest. Last week, UTSA was unable to protect an 11-point halftime advantage during a 27-21 road loss against Temple.

UTSA started the game on a 75-yard drive that was capped by a Patrick Overmyer one-yard plunge. Overmyer also caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Owen McCown. The Roadrunners committed nine penalties for 83 yards and committed a pair of costly turnovers.
