The road results are particularly concerning. San Diego State lost 28-10 at UCLA and 41-16 at Toledo, giving up 69 points across those two trips. The Aztecs now travel to face an Oregon State offense playing its best football of the season.
San Diego State needs to prevent this game from becoming a track meet. Oregon State just generated 727 total yards at Colorado State, and the Aztecs aren’t built to trade touchdowns with that type of offensive production for four quarters. Sustained possessions and better third-down defense are essential if San Diego State is going to stay inside a two-touchdown spread.

Oregon State Offense Is Rolling
Oregon State has completely changed the direction of its season after an 0-2 start. The Beavers have won three straight, beating Montana 52-17, UTEP 33-7 and Colorado State 56-26. They have outscored those three opponents 141-50.
The Colorado State performance was particularly impressive. Oregon State accumulated 727 total yards, including 436 through the air and 291 on the ground, while recording 37 first downs. The Beavers controlled the football for more than 48 minutes and repeatedly produced long scoring drives.
