The South Florida Bulls knocked off #25 Boise State 34-7 in their season opener. The Bulls were led by QB Byrum Brown. Brown threw for 210 yards and rushed for 2 touchdowns. Wideouts Chas Nimrod and Keshaun Singleton each had over 90 receiving yards. The South Florida Bulls allowed the touchdown in the first quarter and didn't allow a point after that.

The Bulls defense caused 5 fumbles and recovered 3 of them. South Florida was outplayed in the first down and total yards battle but that didn't reflect the scoreboard.
