Temple Preview

Temple has leaned on quarterback Evan Simon to set the tone. He has been effective and accurate, hitting 40 of 60 passes for 497 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception. He spreads the ball well. JoJo Bermudez is the main option with 126 yards and one touchdown. The rushing game has also carried weight, with Jay Ducker producing 239 yards on 36 carries, averaging over 6.6 yards per attempt. Hunter Smith has 93 yards on limited (12) touches, giving the Owls some depth at running back.

The defense has had mixed results. Avery Powell leads the way with 16 tackles, and Cam’Ron Stewart has been disruptive with three sacks. The unit has also created some turnovers, including three interceptions. Still, Temple showed against Oklahoma that it struggles against speed and size. For the Owls to stay in this one, they’ll need to protect Simon, finish drives, and avoid getting stuck in long passing downs.

Georgia Tech Preview

Georgia Tech has started fast this season with a mix of short advances and big plays. Quarterback Aaron Philo has thrown for 373 yards while completing 75 percent of his passes, including a long 78-yard strike. He’s shared snaps with Haynes King, who has added 143 yards through the air and 156 rushing yards with three touchdowns. The ground game is the strength, led by King with 259 yards and four scores, plus Jamal Hayne’s 183 yards and three scores.

On defense, Georgia Tech brings steady pressure. Defensive lineman Akelo Stone already has two sacks, and E.J. Lightsey has been active in the front seven. Linebacker Kyle Efford is tied for the team lead with nine tackles. Playing at home, Georgia Tech’s talent and speed make them hard to slow down, and they have shown they can win on the ground and hit big plays when needed.

Temple vs Georgia Tech Prediction

Temple has been productive against lighter opponents but struggled badly when the competition rose. Georgia Tech is stronger in the trenches and has more ways to attack, both on the ground and through the air. The Owls will likely move the ball at times, but won’t keep pace for four quarters. Georgia Tech wins by two touchdowns or more. Final Score Prediction: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets win and cover ATS 42-13.
