Texas A&M vs Alabama Picks and Predictions for Saturday October 24 2026
Alabama scored ten points against Tennessee. Ten. The Tide had 201 yards, couldn’t run the football, and spent most of Saturday getting knocked backward. Now Texas A&M comes to Tuscaloosa, and the sportsbooks still want you to lay more than two touchdowns with Alabama.
The Aggies visit Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 PM ET on ABC. Alabama is favored by 15.5 points, with the total around 51.5. The early forecast calls for temperatures in the 70s, dry conditions, and light wind. Gusts need another look closer to Saturday. Alabama has a lot to fix after that Tennessee loss, and A&M has a chance to make this a very uncomfortable afternoon. Check out our free college football picks for more predictions.
Texas A&M Finally Had Some Fun
Texas A&M is 4-3 overall and 1-3 in SEC play. The Aggies beat The Citadel 41-0 Saturday, and they needed a game like that. They’d been struggling against conference opponents, and the schedule hasn’t been particularly forgiving. The win wasn’t going to impress anybody on a national level. It’s The Citadel. But when you’ve been losing games, sometimes you just need an afternoon where everything works. A&M had that. Now it has to prove it can do something similar against Alabama, which is an entirely different problem.
The Aggies finished with 501 yards against The Citadel, including 264 rushing and 237 passing. They had 26 first downs and scored on all six red-zone trips. That’s good work, no matter who you’re playing. The defense allowed only 183 yards and kept The Citadel off the scoreboard. But here’s the catch. Alabama isn’t an FCS opponent. The Aggies aren’t going to find the same holes or get the same easy throws. They need to run the ball well enough to keep Alabama from attacking the quarterback on every passing down. And they need to avoid falling behind early. That’s where this game could get away from them.

KJ Edwards ran for 116 yards on 13 carries against The Citadel. Jamarion Morrow scored three rushing touchdowns, and Marcel Reed threw for 130 yards and a score before getting the rest of the afternoon off. Aaron Gregory caught a 37-yard touchdown pass and finished with 94 receiving yards. Good numbers. But receiver availability is worth watching. Mario Craver and Ashton Bethel-Roman were unavailable Saturday, and A&M could use every healthy target it can get against Alabama. Reed is going to need some help. He can’t spend the whole game trying to escape pressure and make something happen by himself.
Alabama Needs To Get Angry About Something
Alabama is 5-2 overall and 3-2 in SEC play. The Crimson Tide lost 26-10 at Tennessee Saturday, and it wasn’t particularly close in the second half. Alabama was only down 12-10 at halftime, so there was still a chance. Then the offense disappeared. Tennessee scored two rushing touchdowns, kept the ball, and never let Alabama back into it. The Tide have now lost two games, and the playoff conversation isn’t going to get any easier if they lose another one. Playing at home helps, but somebody has to get that offense moving again.
The numbers against Tennessee were ugly. Alabama had 54 rushing yards, 147 passing yards, and only 12 first downs. The Tide converted two of 13 third downs. Two! Tennessee had five sacks and forced four turnovers. That’s a complete offensive mess. Alabama’s defense wasn’t perfect, but it kept the game competitive for a while. The offense gave it almost nothing. Texas A&M isn’t as good defensively as Tennessee has been lately, but the Aggies have enough athletes up front to make Alabama work. The Tide need better blocking and a running game that can pick up more than three yards at a time.
Keelon Russell threw for 147 yards against Tennessee and struggled with pressure all afternoon. Daniel Hill led Alabama with 34 rushing yards. Rico Scott had 54 receiving yards, and that was about as much production as anybody managed. Alabama needs its quarterback to make better decisions, but he also needs time to throw. The Tide have been dealing with some injury problems, including concerns involving Zabien Brown and EJ Crowell. Those situations need checking before Saturday. Alabama has talent. Nobody’s arguing that. But talent doesn’t mean much when the offense keeps going backward.
Texas A&M vs Alabama Picks and Predictions
Texas A&M +15.5 (-110)
I’m taking the Aggies and the points. Alabama should win this game, especially at Bryant-Denny, but fifteen and a half is a big number for an offense that just managed ten points and 201 yards. A&M isn’t Tennessee. I get that. The Aggies have been struggling in SEC play, and beating The Citadel doesn’t suddenly fix everything. But they ran for 264 yards Saturday, and they have enough ability to make Alabama defend the whole field. The Tide might bounce back and win by three touchdowns. That’s the danger. But until I see Alabama’s offensive line get its act together, I’m not laying more than two touchdowns. Give me A&M.
Under 51.5 Points (-110)
I’m going under 51.5. Alabama’s offense has to improve, but I’m not expecting it to suddenly look like a machine after what happened in Knoxville. A&M’s defense just pitched a shutout, and even though it came against The Citadel, the Aggies at least showed they can tackle and stay disciplined. Alabama’s defense should make things difficult for Reed, especially if A&M is still missing receivers. The danger is turnovers creating short fields. Tennessee forced four against Alabama, and another game like that could produce some cheap points. But I think both teams try to run the football and keep things under control. Something around 27-17 feels reasonable.
Final Picks: Texas A&M +15.5 (-110) and Under 51.5 Points (-110)
