The Irish defense remains the foundation. Safety Jalen Stroman has nine tackles through one game, while Boubacar Traore and Cashius Howell bring pressure up front. Against Miami, Notre Dame held the Hurricanes under 30 points despite turnovers and missed opportunities on offense.
