Texas State’s offense can produce, but the defense hasn’t kept up. Tackling has been inconsistent, and injuries have left questions about depth. Running back Torrance Burgess and tight end Blake Smith remain uncertain. Marshall, by contrast, appears healthier and more settled heading into this one.
