In Saturday afternoon college football action, the Towson Tigers will visit Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to face the Navy Midshipmen. Head coach Pete Shinnick has led Towson to a .500 or better conference mark in each of his first three seasons. On Thursday, Towson committed a pair of turnovers during a 21-18 home loss versus Maine.

Towson trailed 21-0 late in the second quarter and went into halftime with some momentum on a four-yard touchdown reception by Aaron Enterline. QB Andrew Indorf did his best to rally the Tigers with 267 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Navy Preview

The Navy Midshipmen have won 21 games the previous two seasons and are a legitimate threat to reach the College Football Playoff. The Midshipmen (11-2) led the nation in rushing at over 285 yards per game and averaged 31.5 points. Four starters are back on the offensive line and senior QB Braxton Woodson will replace Blake Horvath.

Like other service academies, Navy’s defense is much better when the offense can control the ball. The Midshipmen have six starters back from a defense that ranked fourth in the American Conference in yards allowed. The linebacker group is headlined by MarcAnthony Parker, who led Navy with 97 combined tackles.
