UConn Preview

UConn has found success behind quarterback Joe Fagnano, who’s thrown for 1,556 yards and 11 touchdowns while completing better than 67% of his passes. His connection with Skyler Bell has been sharp, as Bell leads the team with 48 receptions, 562 yards, and six scores. On the ground, Cam Edwards continues to drive the offense with 637 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 101 carries, giving the Huskies balance that’s been missing in previous years. UConn has also benefited from consistent tackling and backfield pressure from Bryun Parham, who leads with 47 stops and 6.5 sacks through six games. The Huskies have built steady momentum since dropping consecutive overtime heartbreakers to Syracuse and Delaware in September, winning three straight by controlling tempo and finishing drives.

Boston College Preview

Boston College, meanwhile, has struggled to find consistency despite competitive spurts early in the year. Quarterback Dylan Lonergan has posted 1,277 passing yards and nine touchdowns, but has thrown three interceptions and faced frequent pressure behind a shaky line. Running back Turbo Richard has been a bright spot, averaging over five yards per carry with four touchdowns, while Lewis Bond continues to pace the receiving corps with 366 yards on 38 catches. The Eagles’ defense has been vulnerable, surrendering over 40 points in back-to-back weeks and struggling to generate takeaways. Linebacker KP Price leads with 36 tackles, but the group has yet to slow opposing offenses that can stretch the field vertically.

UConn vs Boston College Pick

UConn’s recent offensive success and confidence should carry weight here. Fagnano’s effectiveness, paired with Edwards’ ground production, gives the Huskies multiple ways to attack. Boston College’s inability to finish drives and protect its quarterback makes it difficult to back the home side. Expect UConn to sustain drives and pull away late behind its experienced players.

Prediction: UConn 31, Boston College 20
