West Virginia Preview
West Virginia has struggled to score at times this season. Quarterback Nicco Marchiol has 720 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on 67% passing. Wide receiver Cam Vaughn leads the team with 277 yards and two touchdowns. The run game is led by Jaylen Henderson, Tye Edwards, and Jahiem White, who have combined for seven rushing TDs.
The defense has been on the field too often thus far. Safety Fred Perry leads with 33 tackles, while Darrian Lewis has two interceptions. Chase Wilson has three sacks, but the Mountaineers have allowed 89 points in the last two games against Utah and Kansas. However, much of that is due to the offense having too many three-and-outs.
BYU Preview
BYU has had success on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier has 697 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions. Chase Roberts leads the receivers with 234 yards and three touchdowns, and Carsen Ryan adds 192 yards and two scores. Running back LJ Martin leads the ground game with 400 rushing yards and one touchdown.

The defense has been strong in the front seven. Linebacker Jack Kelly has four sacks and 19 total tackles. Cornerback Evan Johnson has two interceptions, while Isaiah Glasker has added two sacks. Kicker Will Ferrin has been steady, hitting 9 of 10 field goals, including a long of 56 yards.
West Virginia vs BYU Prediction
BYU has the better passing attack and stronger defense. West Virginia has struggled to move the ball against top opponents, and BYU has held each of its last three opponents under 22 points. At home, the Cougars should stay unbeaten. Final Score Prediction: BYU wins and covers ATS 34–10.
