West Virginia Preview
West Virginia has struggled to find consistency on offense. Quarterback Nicco Marchiol has thrown for 720 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, while Khalil Wilkins leads the ground game with 195 yards and a score on 39 carries. Receiver Cam Vaughn has been the top target, recording 320 yards and three touchdowns on 19 receptions. The Mountaineers have lost four of the last five, including a 38–24 defeat to BYU and a 48–14 blowout versus Utah. The offense has sputtered since an overtime win against Pitt in mid-September, averaging just 17 points per game over the past month.
On the defensive side, West Virginia continues to allow too many big plays. Fred Perry leads with 43 tackles, and Chase Wilson has recorded three sacks, but the unit has given up at least 38 points in three straight outings. The Mountaineers must find a way to contain UCF’s offense, especially in the open field where the Knights thrive.

UCF Preview
UCF has been competitive in every game despite a three-game losing streak. Quarterback Tayven Jackson has completed 80 of 124 passes for 906 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Myles Montgomery adds 378 rushing yards and three scores, while wideout Duane Thomas Jr. has 245 receiving yards on 21 catches. The Knights have been close to breaking through, falling 27–20 to Kansas and 20–11 at Cincinnati in recent weeks.
The Knights’ defense has shown stability against the run but remains vulnerable inside the red zone. Linebacker Lewis Carter leads with 32 tackles, and Malachi Lawrence has provided edge pressure with two sacks. Playing at home gives UCF an advantage; its offense tends to perform in Orlando.
UCF vs West Virginia Pick
UCF’s balance and home-field advantage should be enough to outlast West Virginia. Expect Montgomery to control the tempo on the ground while the Knights’ defense limits big plays.
Final Score: UCF 30, West Virginia 20
