New Orleans Saints Preview

The New Orleans Saints enter this season aiming to improve on a disappointing campaign a year ago. New Orleans finished last season with just five wins and 12 losses overall after winning the first two games of the year. The New Orleans offense was below average, scoring just 19.2 points per game the previous year. Defensively, New Orleans had their issues, allowing 23.4 points per game last season.

Spencer Rattler will step into a starting role this season for New Orleans after quarterback Derek Carr retired in the offseason. Rattler has thrown for 1317 yards and four scores on 138 completions during his career. Alvin Kamara will be a big piece to the New Orleans offense early after 950 yards and six scores on 228 carries a year ago.

Saints vs Cardinals Pick

The Arizona Cardinals will have the edge this week as New Orleans will send out a young quarterback. Look for Arizona to do the work on both sides of the ball to overwhelm New Orleans from start to finish in week 1. Take the Cardinals to do enough to get the win and cover on the road. Final Score Prediction, Arizona Cardinals win and cover 34-14.
