Panthers vs Cardinals Game Preview

The Panthers head West to face the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, with kickoff scheduled for 2:05 PM ET on CBS. Arizona is favored by -4.5 at home, with the total set at 45.5 points. The Cardinals come in 1-0 after a road win, while Carolina is looking to avoid a 0-2 start. From underdogs to point spreads, we’ve got the sharpest nfl picks.

Panthers Preview

Carolina struggled in its opener, falling 26-10 at Jacksonville. Bryce Young completed 18 of 35 passes for 154 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Chuba Hubbard was a bright spot on the ground, rushing for 57 yards on 16 carries, but the offense lacked explosive plays and failed to sustain drives. Tetairoa McMillan led the receiving group with 68 yards, though turnovers and inefficiency limited scoring chances. Defensively, Baron Browning recorded a sack, while safety Tre’von Moehrig led the team with 11 tackles.

The Panthers’ biggest issue continues to be offensive consistency. Young is still searching for rhythm, and the line has had trouble keeping him comfortable in the pocket. Injuries also add concern, with Patrick Jones II and Tershawn Wharton questionable, while starting tackle Ikem Ekwonu is inactive. Without stability up front, the offense will need Hubbard to grind out yardage and take pressure off the passing attack.

Cardinals Preview

Arizona started its season with a 20-13 win in New Orleans behind a balanced effort. Kyler Murray looked sharp, completing 21 of 29 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie back Trey Benson provided 69 rushing yards on just eight carries, showing explosive ability. Marvin Harrison Jr. highlighted the passing attack with 71 yards and a touchdown, instantly proving to be a difference-maker. Safety Budda Baker anchored the defense with 10 tackles, while the unit forced stops in key moments to preserve the win.

The Cardinals have plenty of optimism after Week 1, particularly with Murray’s command of the offense and Benson’s burst in the run game. If Harrison continues emerging as a go-to weapon, Arizona’s passing attack will stretch defenses in ways it couldn’t last year. Defensively, the health of Zaven Collins and Joey Blount is worth watching, but the group has the speed to cause problems for Carolina’s offensive line.

Cardinals vs Panthers Free NFL Pick

This matchup tilts toward the Cardinals thanks to offensive balance and home-field advantage. Carolina’s offense looks one-dimensional and prone to mistakes, while Arizona has playmakers at every level. If Murray maintains his strong play, the Panthers will have a hard time keeping pace on the road.

Prediction: Arizona Cardinals 27, Carolina Panthers 16
