Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks and Predictions for Monday October 26 2026
Dallas and Philadelphia on Monday night. Usually, that’s a game worth getting excited about. This year? Both teams are 2-4, the Eagles have lost four straight, and Cowboys fans are arguing about whether Brian Schottenheimer should still have a job.
Dallas lost 23-13 to Green Bay Sunday night. Philadelphia got beat 25-14 by Carolina. At home, no less. Now the Cowboys are favored in Philadelphia, which tells you what the oddsmakers think about the Eagles without Jalen Hurts.
The Cowboys visit Lincoln Financial Field on Monday, October 26, 2026. Kickoff is at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN and ABC. Dallas is favored by 4.5 points, with the total at 44.5. The weather could matter at an outdoor stadium in late October, so that’s worth checking closer to kickoff. For more predictions, check out our free NFL picks.
Dallas Cowboys Have Been A Disappointment
Dallas is 2-4 after losing to Green Bay. The Cowboys have dropped two straight, and the offense hasn’t looked particularly good doing it. They managed 13 points Sunday night. Thirteen. That’s not going to get it done against many teams, even with a decent defense. And Dallas doesn’t have a decent defense right now. Jerry Jones says he’s sticking with Schottenheimer, but you know how that goes. Another couple of losses and everybody will be asking the same questions again.

The Cowboys average 25.2 points and allow 26.5. They’ve scored 151 and given up 159 through six games. That’s a pretty good explanation for a 2-4 record. The defense has been especially disappointing. Dallas has only five sacks all season. Five sacks in six games. That’s not much of a pass rush, and it’s a big reason opponents have been able to move the ball. Philadelphia’s offensive line has been banged up, so this would be a good week for somebody in a Cowboys uniform to actually get to the quarterback.
Dak Prescott has thrown for 1,381 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions. CeeDee Lamb has 507 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and Javonte Williams has rushed for 276 yards with six scores. Williams is averaging only 3.7 yards a carry, though, so the running game hasn’t been doing much between the tackles. On defense, Dee Winters is expected to miss time with an Achilles strain. He had 35 tackles and a fumble recovery before getting hurt. DeMarvion Overshown might return from his hamstring injury, which would help. Dallas needs somebody to make a play on defense. Anybody.
Philadelphia Eagles Are Having A Rough October
Philadelphia is 2-4 after losing 25-14 to Carolina. That’s four straight losses, and the Eagles haven’t looked good in any of them. They had Tanner McKee starting at quarterback Sunday because Hurts is on injured reserve. McKee threw for 215 yards and a touchdown, but Philadelphia punted eight times. Eight punts against Carolina. That’s not what Eagles fans were expecting when the season started.
The Eagles average 17.7 points and allow 22.8. They’ve scored 106 points in six games. That’s fewer than 18 a Sunday, and the offense has been getting worse. The defense hasn’t been terrible, but it hasn’t been good enough to carry a team that can’t score. Philadelphia has only six sacks, so the Eagles aren’t exactly terrorizing opposing quarterbacks either. Dallas has some problems up front, but Prescott should have time to throw if Philadelphia can’t generate pressure. That’s a bad matchup for an Eagles secondary that’s already been dealing with injuries.
Hurts threw for 933 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions before going on injured reserve. McKee is now the guy, and he’s going to need some help. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 182 yards on 36 carries, averaging 5.1 yards a pop. That’s good production when he’s healthy, but he’s been dealing with a hamstring injury. DeVonta Smith has also had a hamstring problem, and Landon Dickerson is working his way back from a knee injury. Philadelphia needs those guys. McKee isn’t going to beat Dallas throwing to backup receivers while running for his life.
Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks and Predictions
Dallas Cowboys -4.5 (-112)
I’ll lay the 4.5 with Dallas. Not because I think the Cowboys are some great football team. They’re not. They’ve been disappointing, and that defense has been getting pushed around. But Philadelphia is in worse shape. Hurts is out, the Eagles have lost four straight, and they just scored 14 points against Carolina. Prescott has Lamb, and Dallas should be able to throw the ball against a defense that’s barely getting to the quarterback. The Eagles will play hard. It’s Dallas, it’s Monday night, and the Philadelphia crowd will be all over them. But at some point, somebody has to score. I trust Prescott more than McKee. Dallas by a touchdown.
Under 44.5 Points (-110)
I’m taking under 44.5. Philadelphia has been struggling to score, and I don’t see McKee suddenly turning into Hurts because it’s Monday night. The Eagles need to run Barkley, keep the game close, and avoid asking their backup quarterback to win a shootout. Dallas can score, but the Cowboys just managed 13 against Green Bay. They’re not exactly lighting up scoreboards every week either. The thing that worries me is Dallas’ defense. It’s been bad enough to make almost any quarterback look comfortable. If McKee gets time to throw, he might have a better night than expected. But I still think this is a game with plenty of punts and a few drives that die around midfield. Dallas 24, Philadelphia 17.
Final Picks: Dallas Cowboys -4.5 (-112) and Under 44.5 Points (-110)
